Play and improvisation is an important part of my process in making a serious art statement. I have admired the work of the Swiss artist, Paul Klee and the automatic writing of the Surrealists, and strive to "get out of my own way" while making art. I enjoy working in a series, and have worked in a variety of media, such as oil, acrylic, watercolor and gouache, collage, and handmade paper.
