Our gallery space can be rented for special events where an atmosphere of artwork is desirable. Please contact our director for more information.
Centrally located in Washington DC, in a townhouse on R Street, one block from Connecticut Avenue and within easy walking distance from the Metro (Dupont Circle, Q Street). Free street parking is available in front of the gallery and on the adjacent streets, after 6:30pm weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday. Delivery entrance and wheelchair accessibility is through the gallery’s Sculpture Garden and is reached via the Cosmos Club parking lot and down a short alley.
The full gallery space is available for use. There are windows in front and French doors in the back, leading directly to the patio/sculpture garden, which is included in the rental. Tents are allowed over the patio. The walls are painted bright white and the carpeting is charcoal grey. There is in the downstairs gallery a separate bathroom and kitchen area with some storage capacity, counter space, a sink and a refrigerator, but no facilities for heating food.
The current exhibition remains in place.
The gallery is generally not available during the regular hours of operation, which are 1:00-7:00 pm Wednesday through Friday and Saturday 1:00- 6:00 pm. The gallery is fully available on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays, until 11PM plus one hour clean-up, and from 6-11 PM, plus one hour clean-up, on all other days. Set-up may start at 5 pm and clean up may extend to one hour after the rental period, but no later than midnight.
