Joyce McCarten is an abstract expressionist whose large-format canvases are bold, expressive and imbued with raw energy.  This past year her work has taken on more of an intuitive , experimental approach and with less control, she has invited unexpected outcomes—a reminder that beauty can be found in chaos.
