Power of The People by photographer Brandon Iracks-Edelin.

As we can all relate to living in a city that is succumbed to constant change in landscape, cultural competence, and demographic, we are no strangers to change and growth. However, the goal of this exhibition is to show viewers when our participating artists stopped being afraid of growth—particularly the type that occurs in one’s personal life. By viewing these interpretations through different art forms, we develop a colorful story map of growth that may even run parallel to or intersect with the stories that belong to those viewing the work.

For this group exhibition, we asked our nine guest artists to divide their lives into three stages and asked the question: “How have the last 3 stages (or the most prevalent one) contributed to the most current one?” Their replies (hence the tile, RE:) create the maps of growth in the form of artworks that contribute to a larger atlas of stories.
