“A casual farewell between people, the phrase ‘see you tomorrow’ stands for many possibilities. It assumes a next meeting, a return, a plan, a belief that things will happen as we expect. Besides offering an assurance, it can also serve as an invitation, a wish, a leap of faith, a longing, a hope that we will be there in the future and witness what has become. With bright colors, or perhaps, dark hues, artists in this exhibition imbue the phrase with their own personal interpretation and nuanced meaning as they navigate our times."
-Irene Pantelis
“With the globe warming at an alarming rate, we may soon venture to other moons and planets in search of a better environment for our species. Perhaps atmospheres that now seem forbidding will be those we desperately embrace. See you soon over there? Let’s hope not.” - Lois Kampinsky

“It’s not just family, friends, neighbors, or colleagues to whom you might say ‘see you soon’ as you part company. How about to the birds that regularly flock to the tree outside our back window as they fly off? Or to the forests, wildlife, and the Adirondacks lake up north where we’re heading late August? As I think about the trip and the locale, in my head it’s ‘see you soon,’ clearly a generic comment.”
