This June, Studio Gallery is proud to present a series of captivating new exhibits showcasing the talents of local artists. Experience the transformative journey of Suzanne Goldberg through her solo exhibit, Changes, curated by Adah Rose Bitterbaum. In the lower gallery, discover the beauty in discarded materials with It’s Not Trash, a collaborative exhibition by Pam Frederick, Harriet Lesser, and Veronica Szalus, and curated by Craig Cahoon. In the garden gallery, As I Was Saying by Kimberley Bursic conveys the complexities of living and the struggle to articulate it. Also in the Garden Gallery, Summer Treats by Robert Cwiok relives the joys of childhood summers in Cleveland, Ohio. Both exhibits in the Garden Gallery are curated by Deborah Addison Coburn and Miriam Keeler.

Artist Talk with Helen Zughaib and Dagmar Painter

Solo artist Helen Zughaib will join in a conversation with curator, Dagmar Painter. Painter will engage Zughaib in a discussion about her career as a practicing artist, as well as topics related to her exhibition titled Borders + Barriers: Pattern of Resilience.
This talk starts at 6:15 p.m.
In addition to the scheduled talk, Hillyer is open from 5 to 8 p.m.

Join us online or in Washington Studio School’s gallery on Third Thursday, June 20th from 7 to 8 for The In-betweens: Gestures on Being and Belonging, a virtual artist talk featuring artist and teacher, Brandon Ng. In this talk, Brandon will discuss his investigations with cameras and unique image-making techniques in creating innovative art installations and photographic gestures. He will delve into how our bodies connect to different places by examining their history, geography, and culture, revealing how specific locations shape our personal and collective identities.
