This November, Studio Gallery is proud to present a series of captivating new exhibits showcasing the talents of local artists: Interconnections by Lisa Battle, curated by Martina Sestakova, in our Upper Gallery. This exhibition is a thought-provoking exploration of the interplay between nature and human experience. In our Lower Gallery, explore an All member exhibition curated by Martina Sestakova, and organized by Jo Levine: Something Old, Something New, a photographic showcase by Studio Gallery members, encouraging experimentation with new ideas, such as altered reality, unique color choices, new subjects, photo collages, and blending digital and traditional media. Talk with the Curators and Selected Artists

During our monthly “Third Thursday” program, co-curators Lauren Davidson and Jarvis DuBois, and a selection of artists from the exhibition, will participate in a panel discussion that focuses on the history of the Millennium Arts Salon and the artwork featured in the exhibition “Collecting Community: Millennium Arts Salon at 25.”

Join us in our gallery for an artist talk with Chris Combs, a sculptor based in Washington, D.C., and Mount Rainier, Maryland, whose sculptural artworks both incorporate and question technologies. In this session, he will discuss his works in CONFAB, the joys and challenges of designing interactive artworks, and some suggestions for the most fruitful ways of cross-pollinating between makers, technologists, and artists. Gain a deeper understanding of Chris's creative process and the dynamic intersections of art and technology.
