The Shape of Things

Wednesday March 2, 2022 to Saturday March 26, 2022

The seven Premier Associate Artists of Studio Gallery bring their artwork to “The Shape of Things,” synthesizing each one’s view of shape, object, and time. The title of the show implies a collective state of being; a condition of existence or circumstance. It can also refer to the interchangeability of invention and meaning, or the balancing of opposite forces that make something possible. The philosopher Vilem Flusser wrote in a collection of essays entitled “Shape of Things: A Philosophy of Design” 1991, that the {interrelationships of art and science, theology and technology, and archeology and architecture} are necessary for our future. The artwork in this show presents many views and ideas of interdependency for inspired creation. Participating artists include Bob Burgess, William Bowser, Kimberley Bursic, Jennifer Duncan, Pam Frederick, Al Lipton, and Joan Mayfield.
